Letters, 1943-1946.

Letters addressed to his mother residing near Ilion, New York, while serving in the United States Navy during World War II. Judging from these letters it appears he was not involved in military action, having served instead in various administrative capacities on domestic bases in Virginia and California and aboard ship in the South Pacific. The content of these letters generally concern his social activities on base in addition to personal and family matters. There was also some mention of his final term as a student at Colgate University before he was called to active duty.
